We've set an ambitious goal for our community to complete our Home Self Assessment forms and Investment Forms so that we have all the data we need to submit our Application In January. 

3 ways to complete these forms.  It will only take a few minutes!

On December 7th 2024, many of the Melody Woods Community attended our Community firewise event hosted by Shirley of Melody Ln. Dawn and Virginia presented some basics of the Firewise program and gave a brief overview of the Home Ignition Zones and steps we can all take to make our homes safer. We've updated our FAQ's with some of the answers to many questions our community had. 

The Community was able to set a goal of filling out the forms needed by December 25th so the Steering committee can compile the data and add the percentages needed to the community application for recognition. All responses will be anonymized and reported in aggregate. 

The Community also agreed that expanding our boundary to invite our neighbors on Old Summit and the homes between Melody and Old Santa Cruz Highway would be a welcome addition. The Steering Committee will be reaching out to those neighbors  to invite them to join us!

We are delighted that so many were able to join us and thrilled that our neighbors have volunteered to help In additional capacities as well! We look forward to sharing more updates with you as our efforts progress!
